Description We are seeking a Receptionist to become a part of our team in the Government Contracting industry located in Herndon, Virginia. As a Receptionist, your role will involve managing the front desk, answering and screening phone calls, and offering a warm welcome to visitors. You will also be in charge of the facilities process for incoming and outgoing employees, managing incoming and outgoing mail, and overseeing facilities purchases. Responsibilities: Oversee the front desk, ensuring a clean workspace and detail-oriented appearance Take care of telecommunication tasks such as screening and directing calls to the relevant staff Act as the initial point of contact for the company, welcoming visitors, maintaining a visitor log, and managing visitor badges Supervise the facilities process for incoming and outgoing employees, including badge assignment, desk location, and key management Manage all incoming and outgoing mail, ensuring efficient delivery Generate FedEx labels for employees and schedule pickups Provide backup support for the Facilities Coordinator in replenishing office, kitchen, and beverage supplies Oversee facilities purchases, including ordering and maintaining office, administrative, and kitchen supplies Monitor internal and external maintenance ticket systems to address maintenance items Assist in resolving conference room scheduling conflicts Preserve confidentiality of corporate and employee information Offer administrative support to individuals or departments as needed Assist with special projects as required Requirements Minimum of 1 year of experience in a receptionist role or similar position Proficiency in directing phone calls and answering inbound calls Ability to efficiently transfer calls to appropriate departments or individuals Experience in ordering office supplies and managing inventory Capable of handling direct mail duties, including sorting and distribution Strong skills in email correspondence and detail oriented communication Familiarity with mail distribution processes and protocols Experience in reserving conference rooms and managing scheduling conflicts Ability to provide administrative assistance to various departments as needed Must be able to handle confidential information with discretion Knowledge of government contracting industry is preferred Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
