We are looking for a Production Technician - Electrical/Integration developer to join our team.Responsibilities:
Identification, handling, and soldering of small form-factor PCB components
Soldering Operator Proficiency Certification to J-STD-001, with the aptitude to learn rework & repair efficiency under IPC 7711/7721
Use of power tools and small hand tools to strictly adhere to production SOPs without deviation as well as innovation of new procedures to improve build quality and producibility (tools, facilities, and products)
Practiced with wire splicing
Familiarity measuring and mixing chemical components (e.g., cleaning solvents, two part epoxy potting compounds, sealants, etc.) as well as using various lab equipment such as temperature and humidity chambers, laboratory scales, professional grade mixers, CNC mills, etc.
Perform quality control (QC) and function testing; often using sensitive instrumentation, such as Vector Network Analysis, Real-time spectrum analyzer, etc.
Use of basic laboratory electronic test and analysis equipment as well as proficiency with basic Microsoft Office software
Demonstrated mechanical aptitude with a meticulous attention to detail and high standard of craftsmanship
Ability to read & follow detailed written procedures with no re-work; complete documentation associated with produced units reliably and accurate (i.e. traveler documents)
Strong communication skills, demonstrated ability to quickly & accurately report all product quality issues/concerns
Ability to perform electronics work under a shop microscope, possibly for extended periods
Adaptability, especially to new tools, materials, and processes
Requirements:
United States Citizenship
Five (5) years of experience, which includes the design, implementation, and check out of components, peripheral equipment, or networking hardware; with knowledge of processors, displays, input/output devices, and hardware interfaces
Two (2) years of experience with quality assurance and instrumentation requirements for analysis, procurement, configuration, and operation including computer-based data acquisition systems. Experience with systems analysis, technical documentation, maintenance, repair, operation, and support
Experience manufacturing parts to create interfaces with commercial off the shelf systems
Experience in the assembly and testing of electronic circuits and devices from provided designs

Preferred Skills & Experience:
Operator Proficiency Certified for J-STD-001 (or equivalent) which is an industry standard soldering certification for electrical and electronic assembly manufacturing

Compensation at SimVentions is determined by a number of factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate’s experience, education, training, security clearance, work location, skills, knowledge, and competencies, as well as alignment with our corporate compensation plan and contract specific requirements. The projected annual compensation range for this position is $80,000 - $100,000 (USD).
