We are searching for a talented and self-motivated Lead Data and Analytics Engineer to help us create the future of flight. Responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:Responsibilities The Lead Data and Analytics Engineer enables the innovative use of data across Aurora's business, product, and manufacturing operations by leading the research, design, development, evaluation and application of data platform software, algorithms, and models. Investigates new analytic methodologies and technologies. Leads cross-functional teams to determine, define and deploy complex descriptive, diagnostic, predictive, or prescriptive analytic solutions integral to the research, development, test and evaluation.The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of experience and practical knowledge in data engineering, analytics engineering, data science, and software engineering to deliver predictive and prescriptive analytics solutions that meet and exceed business objectives.Responsibilities and Duties: Design, develop, and deploy scalable data systems to support day-to-day operations, business intelligence, and advanced AI uses cases. Communicate complex analytical solutions and their business impact to stakeholders at all levels of the organization. Serve as a subject matter expert and thought leader in analytics, providing guidance and mentorship to team members. Design, validate, and deploy robust data models, ensuring they meet the necessary specifications and performance benchmarks. Proactively investigate new analytical methodologies, technologies, and industry trends to keep Aurora at the forefront of innovation. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate analytics solutions into business processes effectively. Ensure the continuous improvement of analytics solutions by monitoring performance and making data-driven enhancements. Prepare and process data, performing necessary transformations and enhancements to optimize model performance. Identify and select the best-fit analytical methods and algorithms for various business challenges.Minimum Requirements Education/experience acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+7 years' related work experience, 13 years' related work experience, etc.). Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, Scala, or Java, and experience with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, Kafka). Strong knowledge of cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and their data analytics services. Expertise in statistical analysis, machine learning algorithms, and data modeling techniques. Proven ability to develop predictive and prescriptive analytics solutions for product development or manufacturing processes. Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex business requirements into technical solutions.Preferred Requirements 12+ years' experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, data science, and/or software engineering, with a focus on deploying analytical solutions in a business environment. Prior work experience in and understanding of government contracting or the Aerospace and defense industry. Advanced degree Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field. Experience with DevOps practices and automation tools. Strong project management skills with a track record of leading cross-functional teams.Physical Requirements Must be able to support occasional travel.Salary Range (Annualized USD)

Minimum Range: $118,000.00 to $210,000.00

Maximum Range: $137,000.00 to $244,000.00
