OverviewReady to shape the future of science and global health? ATCC, a pioneer in biomaterials manufacturing, is seeking a Senior Biologist on-site 5 days/wk in Manassas, VA. We're looking for a Senior Biologist to manufacture or test biological materials and standards. You'll work independently to support the production of biological cultures and derivative products, as well as collect and record data. You will provide training and guidance to the team as appropriate. Responsibilities
Manufacturing Operations:Manufacturing or testing of biological products by following standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and other controlled documents. Maintain laboratory safety, operations, equipment, and supplies.
Documentation:Maintain production batch records in compliance with good laboratory practices. Revise and develop SOPs and work instructions. Collect, analyze, and report data, ensuring meticulous documentation.
Continuous Learning and Problem-Solving:Work towards subject matter expertise of various cell lines and organisms, and handle challenges in alignment with organizational policies.
QualificationsEducation and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in a scientific field with 5+ years of relevant experience or equivalent.
Extensive experience with mammalian cell culture and aseptic technique required.
A basic understanding of Virology and In vitro virus culture experience is a plus.
Molecular experience in PCR, ddPCR, DNA/RNA extractions/purification is a plus.
