A Sparks Group Partner is seeking an API Platform Developer to join their team. The Developer will design, develop, test, install and support programs/systems. Responsibilities:
Support project proposals based on cost/benefit justification interfacing with stakeholders across functional and geographical lines
Analyze input/output requirements, information flow, hardware/software requirements, alternative approaches, etc.
Meet with customers to understand requirements; provide input on best practice systems solutions for small-medium size, complex, risk projects
Validate alternative problem management proposals and make decisions on solutions
Provide technical assistance to colleagues and assist in resolving problems with junior team members
Qualifications/Background Profile:
5 years of API development experience
API technologies/security: REST, HTTP/S, OAuth, JWT, PKI, SSL
API design, development, and management experience on Apigee API platform, On-Prem (OPDK), and Cloud (SaaS)
OOP in Java: Java REST API development, frameworks like Spring Boot is preferred
Understanding of OpenAPI Specification
Scripting skills in one or more of the following: JavaScript, Python
Ability to think out of the box for alternative and most efficient solutions
Must be customer-oriented; make customers and their needs a primary focus
