This position is a 100% on-site role.

A week in the life of a Cybersecurity Engineer II:

Participate in software and systems engineering and software systems research to develop new capabilities, ensuring cybersecurity is fully integrated.

Conduct comprehensive technology research to evaluate potential vulnerabilities in cyberspace systems.

Design, develop, test, and evaluates information system security throughout the systems development life cycle.

Test, implement, deploy, maintain, and administer the infrastructure hardware and software and conduct risk assessment and provide recommendations for application design and accreditation including ATO and eMASS.

Be responsible for the full range of security issues including architectures, firewalls, electronic data traffic, and network access- Uses encryption technology, penetration and vulnerability analysis of various security technologies, and information technology security research.

Participate in the design and development of new systems, applications, and solutions for external customer enterprise-wide cyber systems and networks.

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems

Secret Clearance or the ability to obtain a Secret clearance (US citizeship required)

Security+ CE certified

At least 3+ (three) years of experience in:

Configuring, testing, maintaining, and upgrading information system(s) software and hardware to comply with Department of Defense (DoD) IA requirements and Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs)

Managing accounts, network rights, and access to DoD systems and equipment

Vulnerability management

Development of IA artifacts and documentation

Facilitation of IA implementation, review and analysis of Certification and Accreditation (C&A) documentation

Support for Information System Security Officer (ISSO)duties.

Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
