Location: Hybrid - Onsite in McLean Tuesday through Thursday from day one Extension/Conversion: This is a 6-month contract with opportunity for extension. Must Haves: Overall 10 years of experience and 5 years in AWS and DevOps area. Must have experience with DevOPS tools and processes (Jenkins, Atlassian Suite, Scripting with Groovy Git, Maven, Bitbucket) & CICD Processes DevOps Architect • Prioritize, drive, and validate strategies and roadmaps for DevOPS, Agile, Configuration Management, API and Infrastructure Automation services, platforms, and technologies • Author solutions and services artifacts and initiates ideation, strategy, and future design • Defines solution design and services by partnering with Enterprise/ solution architecture. • Direct and validate design artifacts, contributes to enterprise strategy via validation and research exercises. Ensuring all systems are available, scalable and monitored. • Drives the usage of DevOps tools across T&O, Focusing on internal tooling, automation, and security • Directs blueprints and design artifacts which correlate to domain of expertise • Defines scope, directs Engineering Analysts and Specialists in their technology workstream and delivers outcomes for Engineering Project activities • Identify need, scope, and lead specific process improvement projects in support of optimizing our Enterprise footprint • Identify risks and obstacles, quantify impacts, ensure mitigations and contingency plans are executed • Involved in the architecture of the systems that empower data gathering • Has expert knowledge that extends across multiple disciplines • As a solution provider participate in tuning performance issues across hardware & software Decision-maker for project direction and output definition from Planning and Assessment process Qualifications • You are familiar with Cloud infrastructure (AWS, Google, Azure) • You are familiar with scripting operating system and deployment tasks • Develop, coach and mentor project teams on SDLC, CI and CD practices with a view to creating DevOps champions • You live to automate… you get a kick out of your teammates asking, “you mean it just… happens?" • New technologies are quickly tamed and put to practical use • You have a working experience in cloud management technologies and infrastructure as code • You have strong analytical and troubleshooting skills You know there’s a better way and can balance today’s work with making improvements for the future.
