Description We are in the process of recruiting a Senior Accountant to join our team located in McLean, Virginia. The individual in this role will primarily focus on managing and executing various accounting tasks such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance. This role is crucial in ensuring the financial integrity and transparency of our operations. Responsibilities: Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes Conduct bank reconciliations regularly to ensure accuracy Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts on a recurring basis, including posting monthly journal entries, providing timely and accurate financial statements Manage the month-end close process and ensure all financial reporting deadlines are met Utilize accounting IT system to facilitate processes and maintain records Work with Oracle, QuickBooks, SAP, and NetSuite to manage financial data and create financial reports Develop and maintain internal control and effective accounting system and policies for the set up support Execute additional tasks as needed in response to evolving business needs. Requirements Proficient in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) Experience in Bank Reconciliations Knowledge of General Ledger management Ability to process and record Journal Entries Familiarity with Month End Close procedures Proficiency in using NetSuite for accounting purposes Experience with Oracle accounting software Expertise in QuickBooks accounting software Knowledge of SAP accounting system Senior-level accounting experience Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team High attention to detail Strong organizational and time management skills Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field Professional certification such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) is preferred.
