The Economic Forecast team is also responsible for designing economic scenarios for stress testing, including annual CCAR exams.In order to develop economic forecasts and scenarios, you will be leveraging sophisticated models and analytical tools as well as applying sound business judgment. You will help the team craft and tell the story behind those forecasts and scenarios, through presentations and written narratives, which will be shared with stakeholders and senior committees.You will be expected to stay abreast of economics news and developments and to be able to interpret key economic reports.You will be working with cross-functional teams of Data Analysts, Tech engineers and Project Managers to strengthen and modernize the Economic Forecasting infrastructure and to manage economic data as a data product.You will be working closely with teams across the company that use economic variables, such as loss forecasting teams and modeling teams, providing guidance around usage of macroeconomic variables.You will oversee multiple projects and programs concurrently, ensuring their flawless execution against strict timelines.Capital One is open to hiring a Remote Employee for this opportunity.Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree
At least 2 years of experience in quantitative analysis
At least 2 years of experience in qualitative analysis
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s Degree in Business or quantitative field such as Finance, Economics, Physical Sciences, Math, Statistics, Engineering
Knowledge of EViews or other statistical packages for time-series oriented econometric analyses
Familiarity with economic forecasting tools offered by leading providers such as S&P IHS or Moody’s
3+ years of experience in economic analysis
