Projects focus primarily on developing enduring and profitable growth and value enhancement strategies, while working within the business to influence results and ensure follow through.This Strategy Operations role has the exciting opportunity to scale the People Operations for our growing Strategy organization. We’re on a mission to create and deliver enduring systems to attract and develop great talent to the Corporate Strategy team and the broader Enterprise.Responsibilities:In this role, you will build and lead the innovative design and implementation of processes to attract and develop talent within the Corporate Strategy group, including consulting project staffing and overall career support for junior-level Strategy talent. You will work on a cross-functional team partnering closely with Strategy leadership, HR, and the Head of Strategy Operations

Managing consultant staffing processes in partnership with group leadership to strategically design consulting project teams that deliver high business impact and best-in-class associate development outcomes

Collaborating with group leadership and with teams throughout the Capital One Enterprise to facilitate short-term rotation opportunities for Strategy associates

Counseling consulting associates on full career trajectory – from on-boarding, to learning and development, to career growth and advancement

Creating, in partnership with Strategy HR Business Partners, an enduring process to manage talent mobility

Working with HR to own continuous feedback process and reviews, ensuring that all associates have clarity on their career development

Developing and implementing talent management systems and processes that meet the long term development needs of the associates and the business

Forecasting talent and hiring needs via headcount modeling

Supporting general operations of the Corporate Strategy group as a member of an interdisciplinary team that oversees a range of functions, including communications, events, planning, special projects, etc.

The skills you bring:

Strategic and analytic orientation: A proven track record of problem solving based on analytics. Conceptual thinking skills must be complemented by experience with data-backed decision making

Proven ability to build strong, trusting relationships with associates at all levels. Ability to influence executives to partner in driving our strategic talent agenda

Strong executive communication skills: Impeccable written and oral communication credentials, coupled with strategic influencing skills and the ability to drive agreement through intellect, interpersonal and negotiation skills

Strong facilitation, negotiation and mediation skills; ability to drive to consensus

Strong business judgment, influencing skills, leadership and integrity

Strong project management and organizational skills. Meticulous attention to detail

Highly motivated, self-starter that can work autonomously and can independently take initiative within ambiguous situations

Passion for coaching and developing a highly-engaged, diverse team of associates

Ability to indirectly lead moderate to large cross-functional teams to drive complex projects and programs by providing strategic direction

Proven ability to handle highly sensitive issues with discretion

Clear results orientation: display an intense focus on achieving both short and long-term goals; should be able to drive and execute an agenda in an uncertain and fluid environment

Successful track record of thriving in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial and highly dynamic environment, particularly experience working with and on project-based teams; Previous consulting experience is a plus

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree

At least 3 years of experience working with qualitative and quantitative data

At least 3 years of experience in project or process management

At least 3 years of client-facing experience or consulting experience or a combination

Preferred Qualifications:

5+ years of experience in professional development

5+ years of experience in Human Resources or Human Capital Consulting

Professional Human Resources Certification or Senior Professional Human Resources certification or coaching certification

8+ years of client-facing experience or consulting experience OR a combination
