Area Storage in Virginia Beach is a self-storage facility that is currently hiring a full- time property manager.
Employee must work 5 days a week. This is a day position with no nights required, however employee must work Saturday, Sunday, and 3 weekdays. Hours average around 45 hours per week.
Responsibilities:
Renting, reserving, and vacating storage units
Renting moving truck
Performing opening and closing procedures
Answering phones and returning messages
Performing collection calls
Receiving payments
Ordering, selling, and stocking merchandise
Cleaning and light maintenance of property
Light lifting required
Create facility schedules, manage employee timeclocks
Manage facility reporting
Marketing and brand recognition
Resolve customer complaints
Facility and truck maintenance
Schedule vendors
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required
Prior storage experience preferred, but not required
Able to work alone
Able to work in extreme conditions including rain, heat, and cold
Strong customer service skills
Accurate administration skills
General computer knowledge including MS Office
Able to learn operating software
Must have reliable transportation to run bank deposits and/or errands
Must be able to drive a 14 foot moving truck on occasion
Must be reliable and punctual. Excessive absences and tardiness will not be tolerated
Salary range is $35k -$40k, depending on experience, plus commissions. Benefits include health, dental, 401k, and paid holidays off.
