Accounting Supervisor

Description We are offering an opportunity for an Accounting Supervisor to join our team in Norfolk, Virginia. The role involves overseeing various accounting functions, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures, and providing guidance and support to the General Manager on employment matters. Responsibilities: Oversee the processing of customer credit applications and maintain accurate records. Use accounting software systems and enterprise resource planning tools to monitor customer accounts and initiate appropriate action. Assist with the transition and orientation of new associates, ensuring they are trained and familiar with the company's standard operating procedures. Act as a liaison for the hotel in regard to benefits administration, working closely with our corporate team. Ensure the accurate and timely execution of full cycle payroll processing and other accounting functions as advised by the General Manager. Conduct regular audits on accounts payable and accounts receivable to ensure accuracy and compliance. Implement and enforce established personnel policies and procedures, ensuring consistent execution. Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to all safety and security procedures and rules. Oversee the administration of human resources functions, including the completion of annual wage and salary reviews. Actively participate in monthly meetings with the Corporate Director of Human Resources and other leadership team members when needed.Interested candidates please contact Tamara Young 757-981-0974Requirements Possess a minimum of 2 years of experience in a supervisory role within the accounting field Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems Experience with ADP - Financial Services Familiarity with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning systems Ability to manage all Accounting Functions effectively Experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) Solid understanding of Auditing procedures Experience in managing Billing Functions Proficiency in Full Cycle Payroll management Knowledge of Benefits Administration procedures Experience in Human Resources (HR) Administration.
