Job DescriptionWe are seeking a technical Architect to join our clients dynamic team of 17-20 architects and interior designers. You will work on a variety of projects including adaptive reuse, base building, higher education, and commercial projects. Your responsibilities will not only include new construction and adaptive reuse projects but also collaboration with our in-house urban design team and our esteemed team of consultants, who specialize in coastal resilience. You will play a key role in mentoring a team of designers and consultants, and manage construction administration from kick-off to closeout.Skills/Qualifications
Licensed to stamp drawings.
Experience managing a team of designers and consultants, including handling budgets, RFIs, submittals, and meeting deadlines.
6+ years of professional experience within the architecture industry (community, cultural, or housing preferred).
Demonstrated technical knowledge of materials, details, and construction.
Demonstrated knowledge of ADA and building codes.
Rendering abilities with an eye for excellent composition and graphic design.
Passion for collaborative design and design excellence at a multitude of scales.
Experience or interest in civic and end-user engagement.
Work SiteThis is a hybrid position requiring some days on-site in Norfolk, Virginia and some days remote.Benefits:
