The SME shall provide technical assistance and training for workforce development in digital modeling software; be able to operate 3-D printers to include FDM and SLA; operate 3-D scanner to create digital models of objects; and utilize 3-D CAD modeling software such as SOLIDWORKS or equivalent.The SME shall operate CNC routers and desktop CNC mills such as SHOPBOT and Bantam Othermill. The contractor shall operate typical shop tools to include band saw, hand drill, and other common tools. The SME shall assist MARMC personnel in creating CAD models; teach basic modelling and fabrication skills in one-on-one and small classroom settings.The contractor shall provide outreach to grow MARMC’s utilization of the Innovation Lab including demonstration of laboratory material and equipment. The contractor shall conduct research and prepare reports and presentations for management. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary.
