Payroll Associate

Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Payroll Associate in the manufacturing industry, located in NORFOLK, Virginia, 23502, United States. The chosen candidate will be responsible for handling payroll related tasks, ensuring accuracy, and providing support to supervisors and employees. Responsibilities: Review and correct any errors in time records. Provide support and answer queries from supervisors and HR related to payroll. Handle the complete payroll process from start to finish. Process child support orders and other wage attachments. Investigate and resolve general ledger questions/issues regarding payroll entries. Deliver service and support to employees related to payroll questions/issues. Handle payment of union dues and other employee deductions. Investigate system issues for payroll errors. Reconcile pay cycles. Utilize skills such as 'Payroll - Garnishments', 'Microsoft Excel', 'Adobe Analytics', 'UKG Pro', 'Payroll Vendor', 'Special Payroll Deductions', 'General Ledger', 'Deductions', 'Employment tax', 'Multi-State Processing' to perform tasks efficiently. Requirements Minimum of 2 years experience in a payroll position within a manufacturing environment Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Adobe Analytics Experience with UKG Pro or similar payroll systems Knowledge of payroll vendor management and special payroll deductions Familiarity with general ledger and deductions Understanding of employment tax regulations and procedures Experience with multi-state payroll processing Strong attention to detail and accuracy Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to handle confidential information with discretion Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field is preferred.
