Imagine One is seeking a dynamic and experienced SAP Material Manager The SAP Material Manager will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the technical aspects of the SAP Material Management system supporting a NAVSEA program associated with the development, fielding and support of a large family of shore-based maintenance applications. Work will be performed in Norfolk, Virginia, but telework/ remote options may be considered.The role of the SAP Material Manager requires profound expertise in SAP systems, solution design, and the ability to align technology with the Navy’s operational and strategic goals. These solutions or products typically encompass non-information technology related engineering or scientific disciplines. These solutions or products may require hardware, aerospace, communications, cyber, electrical, manufacturing, mechanical, or other specialized engineering domain knowledge in order to architect software components embedded within them.Experience Requirements:
Collaborate with NAVSEA /stakeholders to understand their business requirements, and design scalable, efficient, and sustainable SAP Material Management solution which easily integrates with other SAP modules and Navy ERP.
Develop and maintain the SAP system architecture, ensuring it aligns with NAVSEA's objectives and industry best practices.
Provide technical guidance and leadership throughout the SAP implementation project, including configuration, customization, and integration efforts.
Oversee the integration of SAP solutions with other NAVSEA systems and ensure data consistency and seamless operation.
Continuously assess and optimize the SAP system's performance, scalability, and reliability to meet NAVSEA's evolving needs.
Ensure the SAP system meets NAVSEA's security and compliance standards, including cybersecurity and data protection requirements.
Work closely with external SAP vendors and consultants, managing relationships, and ensuring the delivery of quality solutions within project timelines.
Maintain comprehensive technical documentation for SAP solutions, including architectural designs and system configurations.
Collaborate with NAVSEA and NMMES project teams, SAP consultants, and other stakeholders to align technology solutions with project objectives.
Provide expert guidance and support in identifying and resolving technical issues related to SAP systems
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Experience with large scale data conversion/migration efforts
Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate across multiple government stakeholder groups in the material, financial, procurement and operations support communities
SAP conversion experience
Understanding of SAFe Agile methodologies.
Knowledgeable on Federal financial and/or material management processes and data
Educational Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
Ten (10) or more years of experience in developing, planning, communicating, implementing, and managing an enterprise data architecture.
Five (5)5 or more years of Federal ERP management experience
Three (3) or more years of experience with SAP (preferably S/4HANA)
Security Requirements:
U.S. Citizenship required.
Candidate must have an ACTIVE SECRET clearance
