The missions are planned with the Tomahawk Planning System (TPS) application which is developed by Tapestry Solutions. TPS runs on the Windows 10 operating system on desktop workstations and several Windows servers. The FSR will provide support to keep the hardware and application software running on a daily basis.Primary Job Functions and Responsibilities:Will perform a broad range of system and application support assignments for Tomahawk Mission Planning Center (TMPC).Primary responsibilities are supporting Tomahawk Mission Planning (TMP), addressing TMPC InformationAssurance/Cybersecuritycompliance, providing Information Technology (IT) support, assisting operational planners with trouble shooting problems, keeping the TMP system running on a day-to-day basis, and provide occasional phone support.Update cybersecurity posture on a monthly and quarterly basis.Will be asked to support system installations and problem resolution at the site.Will need to be familiar with both software and hardware problem resolution techniques.Coordination and communication are key skills in this assignment.Coordinate with other Tapestry FSRs at US Navy CMSA sites.Coordinate with Tapestry St Louis engineers for problem resolution.Security Clearance:This position requires an active Top Secret DoD Security Clearance. (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)RequiredExperience:3+ years of experience using & supporting IT systems and applications3+ years of experience with informationassurance/cybersecurityrequirementsMust have the ability to obtain security certifications such as Security+ or equivalent IAT Level 2 certifications per DoD Instruction 8570 (8140) prior to startPreferred Education and/or Experience:1+ years of experience with Windows 10 operating system1+ years of experience executing DoD STIGs (Security Technical Implementation Guides) for operating systems (Windows 7, Windows Server 2008/2012, Redhat Linux 6,7)3+ years of experience with mission planningTypical Education and/or Experience Qualifications:Degree and typical experience in engineering classification: Bachelor's and 9 or more years' experience, Master's with 7 or more years' experience or PhD with 4 or more years' experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in computer science, engineering, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.Relocation:This position is located in a location that does not offer relocation.
