JOB DESCRIPTION: Looking for Prep Cook / Banquet Chef for high volume catering company with a solid drivers license. Chef is responsible for ensuring financial & operational success of catering operations, as well as drop-off and corporate events, as they relate to culinary operations.
Must be able to handle multiple event executions at the same time or in close proximity. Must have great people skills and ability to manage a diverse kitchen team. Excellent opportunity. Heavy Banquet and Ala Carte sales. We specialize in menu creation so menus change frequently. Must have great cooking skills.
POSITION SUMMARY: It is the responsibility of the Prep Cook / Banquet Chef to prepare foods for service according to assignment by the Executive Chef. Essential Functions: Supervises / Manages the Banquet kitchen team to include efficient staffing, employee development and training, performance management and policy enforcement. Chef(s) often work evening and weekend hours and on holidays because these are the times when kitchens are the most active. Saturdays are essential to your schedule.
Participates in food preparation for “offsite” event locations. Clean Drivers license is required. Banquet Chefs will prepare food and load into Cambro's or Coolers and then pack into catering vehicle. Banquet Chefs are to have a clean driving record as they are expected to drive to and from events in our Catering vehicles with the event food. Execute the food according to the menu and timeline per event.
Maintains clean and sanitary food preparation and storage areas at all times in accordance with state and local sanitation requirements and codes.
Promotes and maintains the highest level of customer service to all employees and guests while staying alert to their needs.
Responds effectively to guest and employee inquiries at events providing excellent guest service.
Notifies senior management of all unusual events, circumstances, missing items, or alleged theft. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
