Amador Family Dentistry is seeking a qualified Dental Assistant with experience in sleep apnea treatment to join our team. This position requires specialized skills in airway diagnostics and oral appliance therapy.
Primary Responsibilities:
Perform pharyngometer and rhinometer scans to assess airway volume and collapse.
Assist the dentist in the delivery, adjustment, and fitting of oral appliances for obstructive sleep apnea.
Record clinical data in REM electronic medical records (EMR) software.
Educate patients on appliance use, cleaning, and maintenance.
Coordinate with sleep physicians and maintain accurate and up-to-date patient charts.
Minimum Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED
One (1) year of dental assistant experience specifically related to sleep apnea therapy.
Certification in Dental Sleep Apnea
Experience using pharyngometer and rhinometer technology
Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR/EMR) systems, preferably REM
