Function:
The office assistant would provide administrative assistance to all office staff and the attorney.
The office assistant would help in the day-to-day operations of the office, managing schedules, administrative tasks, office staff, the hiring of clients, and continued follow-up with clients.
We are a small law firm with big values.
Responsibilities:
Opening files for clients and assisting them with their court dates and documents needed for court, coordinating schedules between the attorney, clients, courts, and prosecutors
Ordering and organizing office supplies
Running and accepting payments from clients
Ability to professionally communicate with clients, court clerks, and other attorneys
Assist the attorney and other staff with projects as assigned
Ability to create and maintain filing systems
Must be confidential and trustworthy
Required Skills:
Ability to work independently, be self-motivated, and be a team player
Ability to learn quickly and pay close attention to detail
3 years of administrative background
Experience with creating and maintaining filing systems
Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel
Strong organizational skills and people skills
Preferred Skills:
Paralegal skills
