Job Title: Mechanic
Location: Portsmouth, VA
Employment Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday- Friday, 8am - 5pm
Pay Range: $28/hour, dependent on experience

Baucom's Auto Service is a trusted provider of auto repair with a reputation for quality workmanship and outstanding customer service. We are looking for a skilled and dependable mechanic to join our team and help keep our customers’ vehicles running smoothly.
Responsibilities:
Diagnose, repair, and maintain a variety of vehicles (cars, trucks, or specialty equipment).
Perform routine services, including oil changes, brake jobs, tire rotations, and inspections.
Troubleshoot and repair engines, transmissions, electrical systems, and other mechanical components.
Use diagnostic equipment and tools to identify issues accurately.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Communicate clearly with customers and team members about repairs and recommendations.
Follow safety protocols and company policies at all times.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical school or certification preferred.
Proven experience as an automotive mechanic, technician, or similar role.
Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic components of vehicles.
Ability to use diagnostic tools and repair equipment.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
ASE certification or equivalent preferred but not required.
Tool set preferred, not required.
