Position Summary
The Lead Carpenter will oversee residential remodeling projects from start to finish, ensuring high-quality workmanship, safety compliance, and efficient use of resources. This role requires both hands-on carpentry skills and leadership ability to guide and support other team members on the job site.
Applicant must have transportation and tools. Successful employ may be eligible for a company vehicle.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and perform carpentry work including framing, trim, cabinetry, and custom woodworking.
Supervise and train carpenters, helpers, and subcontractors on job sites.
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and project specifications.
Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to company quality standards.
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
Communicate effectively with clients, project managers, and team members.
Troubleshoot and resolve construction-related issues on-site.
Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years of carpentry experience, with at least 2 years in a lead or supervisory role.
Strong knowledge of residential remodeling and construction practices.
Ability to read and interpret construction documents.
Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and leadership skills.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Must provide own basic tools (specialty tools provided by company).
