Rivet Operations Company has an opening for a detail-oriented Financial Analyst to join our Audit Response team in the Stafford, Virginia area. Rivet is an exceptional industry partner to the US Marine Corps and a leader in financial management, audit improvement, physical and cyber security, IT management, logistics, supply chain management, and process improvement.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Support a Financial Audit Response and Remediation Team
Identify, gather, and package key supporting documentation for submission to an auditor
Conduct quality assurance reviews and compliance reviews
Provide financial analysis and reporting
Conduct internal control and sustainment testing to improve process, training, and strategic change management
Take detailed notes and provide written summaries after meetings with the external auditor and other stakeholders
JOB REQUIRMENTS
Education, Experience, Skills:
Bachelor's Degree (Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Business Administration, or other related field) or equivalent experience
Three or more years' experience in Department of Defense financial audit or internal controls, USMC experience preferred
Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills (e.g., conditional formatting, creating pivot tables, data analysis tools, etc.)
Strong written and verbal communications skills, including the ability to interact efficiently with Military Personnel and Civilians
Basic computer skills (e.g., the ability to navigate to a webpage, make entries, use a mouse, use Microsoft Office suite of applications, use Adobe Pro, etc.)
Basic mathematical skills (e.g. ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide.)
Typing skills (ability to type 45 words per minute)
Ability to pay attention to details
Physical Requirements:
Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time. Position may require typing and reading from a computer screen. Must have sufficient mobility, including but not limited to bending, reaching, and kneeling to complete daily duties in a timely and efficient manner. There is a possibility that due to parking availability and location of work, walking moderate to long distance may be required. May include lifting to 25 pounds as necessary.
