Rivet Operations Company has an opening for a Financial Analyst to join our rapidly growing team in the Stafford, Virginia / Washington, DC area. Rivet is an exceptional industry partner to the Department of Defense (DoD) and a leader in physical and cyber security, IT management, logistics, supply chain management, process improvement and development.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Support a Financial Improvement Program / Financial Management Team
Provide financial analysis and reporting
Identify, gather, and package key supporting documentation for submission to an auditor
Conduct quality assurance reviews and compliance reviews
Conduct internal control and sustainment testing to improvement process, training, and strategic change management
JOB REQUIRMENTS
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree Preferred (Accounting, Information Systems, Business Administration, or other related field
Strong communications skills, including the ability to interact efficiently with Military Personnel and Civilians
Basic computer skills (e.g., the ability to navigate to a webpage, make entries, use a mouse, enter data on basic spreadsheets etc.)
Basic mathematical skills (e.g. ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide.)
Typing skills (ability to type 45 words per minute)
Complete tests around financial system controls compliance, IT general and application controls
Financial Management experience with Department of Defense systems
Over three years' experience in Department of Defense financial management audit and internal controls
Physical Requirements:
Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time. Position may require typing and reading from a computer screen. Must have sufficient mobility, including but not limited to bending, reaching, and kneeling to complete daily duties in a timely and efficient manner. There is a possibility that due to parking availability and location of work, walking moderate to long distance may be required. May include lifting to 25 pounds as necessary.
