Description Job Description:We are seeking a reliable and organized Facilities/Mailroom Assistant for a contract to hire opportunity. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe work environment, assisting with mailroom operations, and supporting various facilities-related tasks. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with excellent communication skills and the ability to multitask effectively.Responsibilities: Order and restock office and breakroom supplies Assist with event setup and breakdown Be aware of all important on-floor meetings and events and checks to make sure set-up and space is ready in advance and make sure it runs smoothly. Monitor and restock copier supplies. Perform monthly copier meter reads Conduct daily office inspections (hazards, cleanliness, lights, carpet/flooring, copy rooms) Reset desks and conference room set-ups to make sure they are “set”. Monitor temperature, and report through the correct processes. Manage shipping and receiving services at assigned property. (FedEx, UPS, USPS, Courier Service) Ensures that mail collection and distribution services are provided within and between designated client properties in a secure, efficient and cost-effective manner. Manages postal courier and express courier services within and between designated properties and to/from the local post office, including delivery of customer business mail, packages, documents, interoffice mail, and any other items to be delivered to other client sites. Develop and maintain mail/shipping logs for outgoing and incoming mail. Continually audit cleanliness of the floors and address issues immediately. Create, update and manage assigned work order tickets Be aware of all important on-floor meetings and events and checks to make sure set-up and space is ready in advance and make sure it runs smoothly.Requirements Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
Previous experience in a mailroom or facilities role preferred
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to lift and move heavy packages
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
