Power Platform Developer/Robotic Process Automation (RPA) Developer Senior

DescriptionSAIC is seeking a Power Platform Developer/Robotic Process Automation (RPA) Developer who will support a range of customers within and outside of SAIC, including government clients, by automating business processes via tools such as Power Automate and/or UiPath. This position will provide the opportunity to work across the entire automation and development life cycle. Given the growing demand for automation solutions and the increasing complexity of business processes, this role is crucial in driving efficiency and innovation within our organization and for SAIC’s customers. The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business processes that can be automated, streamline workflows, and enhance productivity.T his position can be worked remotely from anywhere within the United States.RPA Developer Responsibilities:

Design technical solutions to automate business processes and build automations using either Microsoft Power Automate or UiPath, depending on customer requirements

Develop optimized strategies for automating business processes using the Microsoft Power Platform

Have experience integrating Power Apps and Power Automate flows with a variety of data sources and leveraging connectors and APIs

Have knowledge of Power Platform administration, including environment management and security configuration

Create and execute tests to evaluate functional and non-functional performance of solutions

Document and update solution designs throughout the automation life cycle

Perform detailed estimations for the time and effort to complete aspects of the project

Troubleshoot and resolve incidents in the production environment

Collaborate with a business analyst to work directly with clients to define requirements, explore solutions, and assess the technical feasibility of RPA for the given problem

Meet with customers to gather additional requirements detail or resolve incidents in production

Adhere to best practices and participate in team meetings to further mature standards and practices of the development team

Provide feedback to other developers by performing code reviews and technical design reviews

Evaluate change requests to determine approach and level of effort and communicate it back to either the project team or customer

Educate and train business stakeholders on deployed solutions by establishing knowledge base articles and user guides, hosting live training sessions, and other methods to ensure successful adoption by the business groups

Work collaboratively as a member of SAIC’s Innovation Factory Hyper-Automation team, but also independently

Generate quality deliverables with little supervision

QualificationsRequired Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in a related field, such as computer science or STEM-related field, and five (5) years or more of experience. Master's Degree and three (3) or more years of experience. PhD and zero (0) years of experience. Experience may be accepted in lieu of degree.

Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance or higher

Currently hold or have the ability to obtain a Power Platform certification within 60-90 days of hire (PL-300, PL-500, etc.)

Experience working directly with the Microsoft Power Platform; experience with UiPath and other automation tools is a plus

Experience working with aspects of Microsoft’s Power Platform and Office 365 suite – Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Excel, OneNote, Planner, etc.

Proficient in creating connectors, flows, and templates within Microsoft Power Automate

Experience with Agile and user story documentation skills

Demonstrated excellence in analytical thinking and problem solving

Strong communication skills with demonstrated experience working closely with customers on requirements and execution

Excellence in planning, organizational, and time management skills

The ability to learn new skills and concepts quickly

Relevant certifications or ability to obtain relevant certifications

Strong ability to effectively multi-task and manage concurrent projects with varying priorities

Desired Qualifications:

Experience working with other Robotic Process Automation platforms, such as UiPath, Automation Anywhere, etc.

Experience working with Power BI, Oracle’s Business Objects, SSRS, Tableau, Cognos, etc. is a plus

Experience working with business process modeling and automation tools, such as Pega or Appian, etc. is a plus
