Description We are in the search for a dedicated Administrative Assistant to join our team in the non-profit sector, based in Richmond, Virginia. This role is a long-term contract employment opportunity. As an Administrative Assistant, you will be tasked with a wide range of responsibilities, including data entry, scheduling, and email correspondence. Your proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office tools will be vital to your success in this role.Responsibilities: Provide administrative support to the department in a fast-paced environment Handle data entry tasks with accuracy and efficiency Manage scheduling and calendar management tasks to ensure smooth operations Conduct email correspondence to communicate effectively with internal and external parties Utilize Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting Answer inbound calls and provide exceptional customer service Use Microsoft Outlook for email management and scheduling Prepare presentations using Microsoft PowerPoint Create and edit documents using Microsoft Word Schedule appointments and meetings as necessary. Requirements Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Microsoft Outlook. Capable of managing both inbound and outbound calls in a professional and courteous manner. Demonstrated expertise in providing excellent customer service. Ability to handle data entry tasks with accuracy and attention to detail. Excellent written communication skills, particularly for email correspondence. Organizational skills to effectively schedule appointments and manage calendars. Prior experience in an administrative assistant role within a non-profit organization would be advantageous. Strong interpersonal skills to interact with a variety of individuals. Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively. High level of discretion and confidentiality handling sensitive information. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
