Description We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a Data Entry Clerk in the Government sector, specifically based in Richmond, Virginia, United States. As a Data Entry Clerk, your role will involve processing refunds from taxpayers, ensuring the validity of these refunds, and creating comprehensive refund packets. Your attention to detail, proficiency in data entry, and ability to understand numerical data will be crucial to your success in this role.Responsibilities: Verify the legitimacy of taxpayer refunds through detailed examination Create refund packets for further review by superior officials Use pre-made spreadsheets to input numerical data accurately Utilize your understanding of numbers to identify any discrepancies in data Provide excellent customer service while resolving inquiries Maintain organized files of all transactions and correspondences Utilize Microsoft Excel and Word for data entry and correspondence purposes Perform calculations as required to ensure accuracy of data Use 10 Key Skills to efficiently input data into the system Use features such as Pivot Table and VLOOKUP in Excel for data analysis and management. Requirements Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar data entry role within the government sector Proficiency in using Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel Demonstrated ability to perform calculations and use tools such as Pivot Table and VLOOKUP in Excel Excellent 10 Key skills for accurate data input Proven experience in customer service, with strong communication skills for email correspondence Ability to effectively manage and organize files Comfortable with scanning documents and other administrative tasks Fast and accurate typing skills for efficient data entry Must be detail-oriented and able to maintain high levels of accuracy in data entry tasks.
