Description:The program is bi-model. It consists of agile (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe) and traditional waterfall. We would like for the candidate to be familiar with both agile and waterfall methodologies. Candidate NEEDS to be local to Richmond, VA.BRIEF SUMMARY:The Sr. Delivery Manager is responsible for influencing and facilitation of delivery of cross functional initiatives across Technology teams, product teams, business stakeholders, vendors, and consultants in the full life cycle of the initiative or Agile practices, as necessary. This individual will manage multiple product teams and/or large, complex projects through discovery to delivery. This will include participating in resourcing process, overseeing Agile and/or waterfall ceremonies, development, and delivery. The individual will also have direct responsibility for scheduling meetings, producing status updates and reporting out on postproduction and team metrics, if applicable. The Sr. Delivery Manager. is responsible for guiding project and / or product team members, removing obstacles, gaining consensus from the project team and stakeholders, and providing positive and developmental feedback to team members’ direct managers. The individual proactively seeks to improve processes, procedures, tools, and methodology. Sr Delivery Manager is responsible for anticipating change and championing systems and processes to align with any change. Product/Project delivery and customer satisfaction will be a key metric for measuring success.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Lead delivery of complex product initiatives and / or cross-functional initiatives including business stakeholders, lead and supporting Technology teams, product teams, creative teams, vendors, and consultants through all phases of the project life cycleFacilitate requirements gathering for technology solutions, and effectively guiding resources to achieve goalsFacilitate Agile team ceremonies and effectively guiding resources to achieve goalsAdhere to the current project and/or product management methodology while influencing best practices, process improvements, and proceduresScope and schedule of Delivery and applies tools and techniques based on type of work e.g., roadmaps, schedules, ceremonies, methodology guidelines and templates.Serve as a primary problem solver for any issues, roadblocks, and risks, maintaining responsibility for their resolution.
