GIS Developer Contract-to-Hire Richmond, VA Local Candidates Preferred TECHEAD is currently seeking a GIS Developer to join our client's team. In this role, you'll join a team of multi-disciplined professionals that creates innovative solutions that solve business challenges with geospatial technology. Responsibilities: This position will start remote but eventually work in either Richmond VA, Camp Hill PA, or Raleigh NC offices post-Covid. This is an excellent opportunity to join a diverse team that is currently working on a wide range of exciting geospatially based data analytics, data visualization, and automated decision support-oriented projects. Typical duties include but are not limited to: • Work as part of the team to develop new GIS applications based on Esri technology and to project requirements. • Participate in application requirements and design review meetings. • Maintain solution modules/applications. • Limited travel may be required but infrequent if at all. Qualifications: • 3+ years developing GIS-based web applications within an enterprise architecture required. • A.A., B.A, A.S., B.S. or Graduate Degree in Computer Science, Geography, or related field, or equivalent experience. • Clear understanding of GIS principles, theories, and best practices. • Knowledge of the Esri product suite. • Experience developing solutions using .Net framework and .Net Core. • Experience developing with JavaScript. • Experience with Esri software including ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Online, Portal for ArcGIS, and ArcGIS Runtime and their associated APIs or interfaces. • Knowledge of geospatial and mapping concepts such as spatial analysis, map projections, etc. • Experience with current technology implementation patterns including service-oriented and cloud. Preferred: • Experience developing solutions using Esri’s 3X or 4X JS API. • Experience building custom widgets for Esri Web App Builder. • Experience building solutions using Esri Experience Builder. • Knowledge of ArcGIS architecture best practices. • Experience Installing and configuring ArcGIS Enterprise. • Experience using Python and other scripting languages to automate GIS task and/or geoprocessing. • Experience using common JavaScript build systems (npm, bower, Grunt, Gulp, Webpack, etc.). • Experience building Single Page Applications (SPA) using Angular, React, Dojo, Backbone or other JS frameworks. • Knowledge of one or more databases (MS SQL Server & TSQL, Oracle & PSQL, PostgreSQL) • Experience using GIT with Source Tree. • Experience working within an agile framework and SDLC.
