The HR Specialist will provide administrative support to the HR department, maintaining employee files, ensuring protection of confidential information, and processing payroll. This position will help build, maintain, and continuously improve upon HRIS systems in support of every functional area of human resources. In addition, this person will be the primary administrative link as the department transitions from current operations to a fully integrated HRIS.Club ProfileOrganized in 1908, The Country Club of Virginia is a full-service, private club in Richmond, Virginia. Two campuses, located seven miles apart, provide abundant amenities. CCV is the host site of the PGA TOUR Champions Dominion Energy Charity Classic golf tournament.To support our large membership, we employ a staff of over 600, and nearly 25% of them have worked at CCV for 10 years or more. We offer stability, a beautiful work environment, and a supportive management team.Essential Duties

Interact with and support employees on a daily basis in a warm and friendly manner

Organize and support all areas of human resources on an ongoing and “as needed” basis

Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee files, processing new hires, rehires, and terminations accordingly

Investigate accidents and process Workers’ Compensation claims; coordinate return-to-work program with HR Director/Manager

Input new hire information into HR systems and ensure accuracy of information before each new hire orientation

Put together new hire, insurance, and workers’ comp packets as needed; ensure adequate supplies at all times

Support Payroll Coordinator with bi-weekly payroll, reviewing payroll reports for accuracy and sending post payroll reports to managers

Troubleshoot timekeeping system and clocks; assist managers with editing and approving timecards

Ideal Candidate ProfileThe ideal candidate will demonstrate attention to detail, strong organization skills, and the ability to multi-task successfully. HRIS experience and a strong proficiency with Microsoft Office are required.ScheduleSchedule is Monday-Friday. Weekday holidays that fall during payroll processing are required work days.Education and Experience

College degree preferred

Minimum of two years of HRIS experience required

Proficiency in Microsoft Office required

Previous payroll experience and experience with HR-related forms preferred

Strong written and verbal communication skills required
