Developing understanding and skills related to investment analysis and portfolio construction. Collaborates with the AMG (Asset Management Group) to conduct detailed research on select global investment themes, staying current on market trends and dynamics. Assists in the evaluation of external investment managers across a spectrum of asset classes, ensuring a thorough understanding of their strategies, performance, and risk management processes. Utilizes fully developed quantitative methods to assess the performance and suitability of current and potential investment managers, contributing valuable insights to the decision-making process. Collaborates with the AMG to assess current opportunities and risks associated with various investment strategies, providing informed recommendations to enhance the overall portfolio. Compiles and analyzes data to produce materials for presentations to the Asset Management Committee (AMC) and develop topic lists for further research to enhance the quality of the materials. Contributes to special projects as directed by senior members of the AMG, contributing to the continuous improvement and efficiency of the asset management function.Senior Investment AnalystSenior individual contributor providing analysis and support to one or more asset classes or trusts. Developing advanced understanding and skills related to investment analysis and portfolio construction. May be assigned small projects with oversight. Oversees day-to-day mentoring and oversight of AMG interns if applicable. Contributes to intern development in a collaborative and respectful manner. Collaborates with the AMG to conduct detailed research on global investment themes and develop expertise in select market analytics. Evaluates external investment managers across a spectrum of asset classes, ensuring a thorough understanding of their strategies, performance, and risk management processes. Prepares detailed investment memoranda for less-complex investment manager recommendations. Utilizes advanced quantitative methods to assess the performance and suitability of current and potential investment managers, contributing valuable insights to the decision-making process. Makes recommendations on alternative quantitative methods as identified. Collaborates with the AMG to assess current opportunities and risks associated with various investment strategies, providing informed recommendations to enhance the overall portfolio. Compiles and analyzes data to produce materials for presentations to the Asset Management Committee (AMC), ensuring clear and concise communication of performance and market insights. Presents on selected topics to Asset Management Committee as assigned. Executes special projects as directed by senior members of the AMG, contributing to the continuous improvement and efficiency of the asset management function.Please note: This position does provide corporate relocation benefits to candidates who meet relocation program requirements.Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & ExperienceInvestment AnalystTwo or more years of experience in pension or institutional investing and a fundamental understanding of multi-asset class investment portfolios. Capable of making meaningful contributions to investment analyses with limited direct oversight. Excellent computer skills including Excel. Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills. Excellent analytical skills focused on portfolio analysis and construction. Excellent organizational skills and ability to effectively manage concurrent projects, meet deadlines and consistently produce high quality work. Excellent ability to work independently and as a member of a team.Senior Investment AnalystFive or more years of experience in pension or institutional investing and an advanced understanding of multi-asset class investment portfolios. Capable of making meaningful contributions to investment analyses with limited direct oversight. Excellent computer skills including Excel. Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills. Excellent analytical skills focused on portfolio analysis and construction.
