We want your knowledge and expertise!Job Summary and QualificationsAs a Pharmacy Technician Trainee , you would be Under the direct supervision of the pharmacy department director, managers, and preceptors and program instructors, the Pharmacy Technician Trainee will complete the requirements of the Pharmacy Technician Training Program to become eligible to apply to the Board of Pharmacy and become a registered pharmacy technician. During this program the Pharmacy Technician Trainee will process, compound and prepare medications upon receiving medication orders from physicians or other qualified practitioners; fill and deliver drug requisitions received from patient care areas; repackage medications; conduct patient billing; restocking and ordering supplies; and assist in the delivery of medication to patient care areas.· Assist Pharmacist in dispensing of doses following department guidelines· Record drugs which need to be reordered· Demonstrates accuracy in filling initial orders· Delivers stat medication orders as needed· Makes rounds in a timely mannerWhat qualifications you will need:· High school graduate or GED· 18 years of age by the end of the training program· Meets Board of Pharmacy requirements to register as a pharmacy technicianNo Travel RequiredNo experience Required Years of ExperienceCJW Medical Center (http://www.cjwmedical.com/) is comprised of Chippenham Hospital and Johnston-Willis Hospital.
