You will partner with the business to help identify anomalies, and help triage for further escalations into issues and events when necessary. At Capital One, we are the first line of defense to ensure our Company remains well-managed and profitable.We are looking for a Principal Associate to join our team which supports our business partners in helping manage and triage any anomalies, to help identify root cause, and look for trends and patterns that help gain insights to share back with our business partners in driving values for our business and customers. This individual will be part of a team that partners with the business to identify and flag areas of concern early, allowing an opportunity for Business Cards & Payments to be a well-managed business.Responsibilities:

Establish and maintain positive working relationship with business partners, compliance advisors, and other risk associates

Manage multiple tasks both independently and through collaboration with the team to meet deadlines

Drive collaboration between stakeholders to achieve overall objective of being well-managed as a business

Identify, capture, and help manage anomalies, and help triage for further escalation to issue and / or event, where appropriate

Manage Events & Issues, taking and grounding ambiguous and complex issues, distilling them down to easily understood situation/complication/result, and advising the business through containment, recovery, and remediation

Other risk efforts, including but not limited to: Audit & Exams support, hosting Office Hours with business, and support the Business on everyday Risk Management area

Analyze data to proactively identify root cause and impact of anomalies, issues, and events

Stay current on the changing regulatory environment and understand the impacts to your businesses

Participate in risk forums and contribute to continuous improvement of risk management practices

Basic Qualifications:

High School Diploma, GED or Equivalent Certification

At least 2 years of experience in Process Management or Project Management

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree

2 years of Compliance experience

2 years of Risk Management experience

2 years of Agile or Design Thinking experience

Certified Risk Management Assurance (CRMA) or Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM)

Lean, Agile, Six Sigma, Business Process Management or Project Management Certification
