All brought together in a flexible work environment where you can truly find balance.About the OpportunityThe Cloud Solutions and Services department has an immediate opening for a Senior Manager, Cloud Engineering (Chapter Lead) position, reporting to Cloud Engineering Assistant Vice President.As a Senior Manager, Cloud Engineering, you blend software and platform engineering knowledge with a passion for coaching, mentoring, and developing people. You are deeply committed to improving the value delivered to our customers by collaborating with other leaders and Product Managers to establish standards for your chapter, influencing strategic decisions and building high quality software solutions. In this growth opportunity role, you will directly manage a team of chapter members who work within autonomous squads across product areas. You are intellectually curious and are committed to developing your own expertise and empowering others by bringing the latest thinking to your role.What You Will Do:

Ensuring chapter talent composition and workforce planning aligns with strategic business priorities

Supporting and empowering chapter members to enable delivery of increased value in their teams through continuous improvement and learning

Enabling an agile and frictionless organization by demonstrating agile behaviors

Proactively partnering with other Chapter and Product leaders to:

Influence strategic backlog and prioritization decisions

Measure performance through established objectives and KPI’s

Align chapter members across squads and product areas to ensure the best utilization of talent

Drive adoption of DevOps best practices, empower teams to optimize and automate, enable continual improvement, toil reduction and develop capabilities to measure code quality, test coverage and defect management

Set and apply standards and ensure the work performed is aligned with established road maps

Remove impediments to delivering value

Actively sharing insights, knowledge, industry practices and developments across the organization

Qualifications:

5+ years of experience successfully leading, coaching, mentoring and developing technical team(s) within a product centric organization

5+ years of experience building various components of scalable enterprise applications

Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, or equivalent experience.

Experience creating strategy and organizational change management.

Experience with Agile methodology and tools

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with which to build and maintain strong cross-functional relationships at all levels of the organization

Decision making experience using a data-focused approach in day-to-day leadership situations and strategic tradeoff analyses

Adaption of continuous delivery-based engineering practices

Familiarity with running software on Cloud Service Providers like Amazon Web Services or Azure

Financial services experience is preferred

PMP and/or SAFe Agile Certifications are a plus

The hiring range for the Senior Manager, Cloud Engineering is 140,400 to $193,050

For candidates outside Richmond, VA, listed hiring and salary ranges may be adjusted based on your geographic location.

Salary offered will be based on the job responsibilities and the individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience as defined in the job qualifications.
