Leading the maintenance and reliability processes in a manner that will have a direct impact on safety, quality, efficiency, cost management, customer satisfaction, and innovation.The Sr. Asset Reliability Director/Progressive Maintenance Leader supports multiple plants and is organizational structure, process and continuous improvement focused.How you will contributeYou will:

Develop and coordinate the strategies that accelerate and improve current maintenance practices and processes to improve equipment performance, reliability and lower overall maintenance costs.

Initiate and manage the corporate maintenance programs based on best practices in the FMGC industry, with an emphasis on equipment criticality, time-based maintenance & condition-based maintenance, effective planning and scheduling, completing high quality maintenance repairs, and safety, health & environmental policies and procedures.

Consolidate Maintenance Concepts and lead PM (Progressive Maintenance) Pillar to assure consistence methodology implementation.

Analyze operational data and equipment performance history to deliver improvements in critical maintenance related metrics including: unplanned downtime, PM compliance, schedule compliance, Mean-Time-Between-Failures, and maintenance related costs.

Institutionalize the use of CMMS (computerized maintenance management system) to track maintenance activities within plants for tracking work orders, planned/predictive maintenance, spare parts inventory/sharing and MRO management.

Implement best practices for MRO inventory management to reduce inventory value and increase turns.

Partner with HR to develop criteria, testing protocol, and partnerships to accelerate the identification and hiring of highly skilled maintenance associates.

Identifies technical training and development of mechanical/electrical talent throughout the organization; works with plant management to recommend training programs.

Develop and deliver comprehensive maintenance and reliability tactical training to maintenance resources; conduct workshops, benchmarking trips and effectively measure results tied to activities that enhance the plant's asset reliability;

Leverage company subject matter experience/experts to advance current maintenance and reliability efforts through enhanced communication and best practice sharing.

Conduct internal PM assessments to ensure program integrity and compliance with IL6S phases requirements.

Lead works with global counterparts from each of the regions to establish global pillar standards and expand knowledge through the creation of PM content.

Significant experience in leading asset reliability manufacturing performance in a fast moving manufacturing environment with exceptional results (FMCG experience) with a career that has seen time at the Front Line and Maintenance Manager level. Demonstrable and intuitive knowledge on fundamentals of good manufacturing practice, process improvement and optimization, Reconfiguration and imbedding of new or enhanced technology, Managing Costs and Variance, Motivaters and engagement levers for shop floor based performance, experience in TPM-Total productive maintenance, 5s, LEAN, 6 sigma tools and concepts

Excellent communication (verbal & written), coaching, and leadership skills in a team-based environment. Demonstrated abilities in Analytics, problem solving and team building with a strong financial & business acumen, project management skills and Knowledge of industrial maintenance and manufacturing equipment.

Experience in interfacing with the broader Supply Chain functions and a high level of capability around managing relationships and outcomes

This Senior Leader will oversee and support asset reliability for our United States Manufacturing Sites. The individual will be based out of one of our main bakery locations, preferably Chicago, IL, but Richmond, VA, or Portland, OR are also potential locations for the role.

Education / Certifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field required. Specialization course or MBA in Maintenance Engineering, Project Management or TPM/Lean is a plus.

Job specific requirements:

15+ years’ experience within Maintenance and Engineering managerial role.

Proven TPM expertise and PM (Progressive Maintenance) full implementation.

Experience leading a plant maintenance organization within FMGC industry.

Demonstrated success leading within a continuous improvement environment

Demonstrated ability to function effectively in fluid, fast-paced situations, with the personal leadership to influence and positively motivate self and peers.

Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing with individuals at all levels of the organization.

Strong working knowledge of CMMS (computerized maintenance management system) like SAP PM - SAP MM.

Experience with FMEA (failure mode effect & analysis), RCM (reliability centered maintenance) and MRO management.

Familiarization with OSHA and FDA regulations.

Verbal and written English and Spanish skill to regularly work within a regional and global PM teams.

Travel requirements:

Travel to the various manufacturing sites across the US as needed.
