8 1/2 in the Fan is an Italian takeout only restaurant serving made-to-order pizzas, pastas, sandwiches, and more. We are part of the same family that runs other local classics such as Edo's Squid, Mamma Zu, and Dinamo. We are currently looking for part-time cashiers and part-time PM pizza cooks.
We are looking for someone who is:
-reliable
-trustworthy
-able to work nights/weekends
-able to learn and adapt quickly
-able to multitask
Cashier duties include:
-answering phone calls to take orders
-using Toast POS system
-sending orders out to guests when they arrive to pick up
-making heros (sandwiches) and salads
-cleaning/sweep/mop at the end of the night
Cashiers work with one or two more cashiers a night and tasks are divided between each other.
Pizza Cook duties include:
-preparing ingredients for cooking pizza
-learning to make pizza dough
-washing dishes
-cleaning/sweep/mop at the end of the night
Pizza cooks work with one other person and tasks are divided between each other.
Pay starts at $14/hr + tips. Tips are pooled and divided between the crew which can add $3-5/hour. Pay raises can be expected after 6 months of employment.
These positions are part-time but can potentially be full time if cross trained on both positions. If cross trained, pay will start at $15/hour once training for both positions has been completed. Part time would be 14-21 hours per week generally from 3pm to close around 10pm. Full-time would be about 30+ hours per week.
