Looking for caregivers. Jude is a 12-year-old boy who has Autism and ADHD. He is an energetic boy who lives in the Glen Allen and Richmond area. He loves outdoor activities like playground/parks, spray ground, walking and swimming pool. He both have medical needs and behavioral needs that require constant care and supervision to keep him safe. He has high intensity behaviors to watch such as aggression, self-injurious behaviors, property destruction, verbal aggression (screaming) and high risk of elopement. His safety is a priority.
We are looking for a full-time caregiver from 5:00am-8:00am and 3:00pm-11:00pm on weekdays and 5:00am-11:00pm during weekends. Pay is $12.70 per hour.
Responsibilities will include:
- assist in toileting, bathing and brushing teeth.
- assist during mealtime.
- administer medications and monitor blood pressure twice a day.
-constant care and supervision in daily activities of living for safety.
-interaction and supervision during play.
-provide behavioral support and coping skills when behaviors occur.
Position requirements include:
History of work with individuals with special needs.
Passing a background check.
Ability to run, walk up and down the stairs, lift 50lbs.
Flexible, caring and understanding.
Excellent communication skills.
