We’re looking for an experienced cabinet installer, available on a freelance or subcontract basis, to assist with high-end custom kitchen and millwork installations. Our shop is located in Fredericksburg, VA, and projects are throughout Richmond, Northern Virginia, and Washington DC.
Responsibilities:
Review cabinetry and installation drawings at our Fredericksburg shop before each project.
Install custom kitchens, built-ins, and millwork with precision and attention to detail.
Demonstrate strong skills with cabinet installation tools and operate all tools safely and efficiently.
Communicate clearly with project managers and site supervisors to ensure smooth installations.
Report daily progress and site updates directly to the shop owner.
Follow all on-site safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized, and professional work area.
Requirements:
Minimum 5 years of experience installing high-end custom cabinetry or kitchens.
Must have own tools and a reliable vehicle for travel to job sites.
Strong understanding of finish work, alignment, and field adjustments.
Professional, reliable, punctual, and well-presented.
Ability to work independently while maintaining high standards of quality.
Compensation:
Hourly or per-project rate, based on experience.
