Play a pivotal role in the modernization of business-critical systems to improve IT health and enable business outcomes.
Review legacy system documentation and code to understand business functions, data dependencies, and legacy data structures.
Define modern application architectures that provide necessary business capabilities based on legacy system information and stakeholder conversations.
Utilize experience with COBOL, preferably on the Unisys Mainframe, to support the client efforts.
Effectively communicate with a variety of stakeholders, including mainframe programmers, enterprise architects, and IT leadership, in both written and verbal formats.

Bachelor's degree required.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
Must be able to obtain and maintain the required clearance for this role.
Ability to travel 10-25%, on average, based on the work you do and the clientsandindustries/sectorsyou serve.
7 + years of combined experience in software documentation, architecture frameworks, architecture design patterns, and COBOL.
3 + years of experience in coding with Java and COBOL.
2 + years of experience in architectural roles designing and implementing system architectures.
Preferred:
Active Public Trust clearance is preferred.
Experience with COBOL on IBM Mainframe and Unisys Mainframe systems preferred.
Professional certifications relating to Java, COBOL, and IBM mainframes are preferred.
