Overview Provide complex strategic direction and support at the business unit level regarding the development of a payments strategy based on Navy Federal's competitive environment and company performance. Serve as a senior internal consultant and advisor to executives regarding the execution of the overall payments and ePASS enterprise payment platform strategy roadmap designed to elevate technology, digital, data and employee capabilities to drive corporate and business transformation. Work is performed under general direction.Responsibilities
Develop a system to monitor projects and implementation roadmap for ePASS which highlight major milestones and deliverables leveraging agile methods
In collaboration with Funds Services Leadership, conduct research and strategic analysis, identify value drivers, synthesize findings, prepare presentations and make recommendations
Oversee and manage the ePASS payments platform, serving as the subject matter expert and business unit point of contact for Funds Services Leadership
Develop and maintain horizontal partnerships across the organization to drive the evolution of the ePASS platform; advocating for and prioritizing future functionality to ensure internal and member pain points are addressed in conjunction with development of new payment technology
Collaborate with Member Research and Intelligence and Product Marketing to compile/integrate and summarize data and key performance indicators used to create email campaign strategies to improve business results
Develop action plans for conducting internal analyses and collaborate with business partners to identify root causes for operational gaps and establish solutions
Determine and review gaps in strategic goals, enterprise initiatives and sub-initiatives that impact the payments space
Identify strategic growth initiatives through competitive intelligence
Identify and communicate changing trends as identified through analysis
Serve as resource for the resolution of complex and/or unique problems
Provide strategic analysis, recommendations and help influence key decisions by senior department leadership regarding technology and financial market trends, and competitive analysis regarding identification of the department's strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats
Track performance metrics, and ensure appropriate improvements are initiated and managed
Maintain an understanding and advanced knowledge of the functions, processes, and systems of other cognizant business units
Ensure effective initiative management from inception through implementation
Build financial forecasts, cost analyses, and Front Office reports to support and facilitate business decisions
Develop market, industry and competitive insights to identify potential opportunities or threats
Support organizational change and learning by embracing new, flexible, and agile approaches to improve business performance and efficiency
Serve as subject matter expert regarding product functions and how they relate to other products and services
Contribute to a culture of collaboration by actively working across business lines, communicating knowledge and strategy initiatives to business units
Collaborate with key partners in development and delivery of solutions
Participate in complex interdepartmental initiatives of significant business risk and impact
Identify and communicate key responsibilities and practices, evaluate results, and provide leadership and guidance to ensure successful implementation of business unit projects
Serve on teams and task groups for projects/initiatives within the business unit and/or across the organization
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Extensive experience in payments and payments systems technology, at an enterprise scale in a large organization, preferably in a large financial services organization
Advanced knowledge of applicable federal and state, laws, rules and regulations
Significant experience with data visualization principles tools (e.g., Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, etc.)
Ability to manipulate raw data into effective visualization dashboards
Advanced knowledge of banking/financial industry trends, products and services
Extensive experience in demonstrating thought-leadership, initiative taking, decision-making and creativity in solving business problems
Significant experience in driving change management and influencing organizational culture and values
Extensive experience in identifying relevant analytical problems, determining appropriate diagnostic methods, and solving unique and complex issues/problems
Significant experience in delivering presentations to virtual and in person teams
Expert knowledge of data querying, reporting, forecasting, analysis and operations research
Expert skill interpreting and synthesizing large amounts of information
Advanced project management skills including Agile, Communication Strategy and Management, Delivery Excellence
Advanced skill to execute in a fast paced, high demand, environment while balancing multiple priorities
Advanced skill exercising initiative and using good judgment to make sound decisions

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field, or the equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
