Description We are looking for a meticulous Project/Tax Specialist to support our Healthcare client based in Northern Virginia. As the Project Specialist, your role will involve managing all licenses associated with our operations, coordinating with accounting and local offices, and maintaining a comprehensive database for all licenses and renewal dates. This is a long-term opportunity is an excellent chance to expand your skills in the Tax, Legal, and Real Estate sectors.Responsibilities: Take ownership of all licenses associated with business operations Establish and manage a comprehensive database to store, track, and manage all licenses and renewal dates Coordinate internally with accounting and local offices for operational license requirements Liaise with local authorities on required operational licenses for office locations Conduct research and interpretation to obtain occupational licenses, inspections, certificates of occupancy, and other requirements for office operation Handle the management of sales and use certificates, certificates of occupancy, sales tax certificate filings and reporting, fire inspection fee payments, and license postings Utilize LicenseLogix®, CSC Global licensure systems, and related management database tools Collaborate with the local taxing authorities to ensure compliance with local tax regulations Handle the coordination of projects related to business operations, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness Ensure compliance with income tax regulations.Requirements Possess a minimum of 5 years of experience setting up business licenses nationally preferably within the retail or Healthcare industries. Research and submit relevant business license documentation as required by the local, state, or federal government. Display a strong understanding of Tax Compliance, including Sales Tax and dealings with Local Taxing Authorities. Demonstrate a proven ability to coordinate and manage projects effectively. Exhibit a comprehensive knowledge of business operations and the ability to apply this knowledge.
Experience working with LicenseLogix is required.
Intermediate MS Excel required including pivots, lookups, sum-ifs, managing large databases and data files, etc.
