Job Title: Controls EngineerJob DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled Controls Engineer who will be responsible for delivering high-quality, cross-functional projects independently and in collaboration with internal and external engineering teams. The ideal candidate will excel in managing project priorities, establishing milestones, and driving schedules to meet deadlines while maintaining strong relationships with vendors, engineers, managers, and peers.Responsibilities

Work independently with internal and external engineering teams to successfully deliver high-quality cross-functional projects on time and within budget.

Partner with project managers and external vendors to set project priorities, establish milestones, and drive schedules to meet deadlines.

Influence technical documentation content, perform documentation reviews, and dive deep into root cause analysis and solutions.

Represent system and equipment designs to customers and other teams, effectively communicate project status, and provide clear and concise project summaries to leadership.

Develop good working relationships with vendors, engineers, managers, and peers.

Participate in design reviews and support execution efforts between internal teams and outside vendors, including equipment specifications, material flow, process design, and site layout.

Manage change order controls, purchase orders, and invoicing efficiently.

Build strong working relationships with Fulfillment Center leadership, Launch, Facilities, Process Engineers, and other business stakeholders across multiple sites.

Identify and lead process improvement initiatives in support of operations teams.

Travel up to 30% domestically.

Essential Skills

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Robotics, or a related discipline. Relevant experience will also be considered.

4+ years of relevant industry experience in automation and controls engineering.

Proficiency in industrial networking technologies such as Profibus, ASi, and Industrial Ethernet.

4+ years of basic coding skills in modern programming languages such as Java, C, Python, etc., in a UNIX/Linux environment to assist with automation and reporting tasks.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Operations Management/Distribution Center experience.

Direct management or responsibility for material handling, automation, or technical projects.

Proven technical leadership for industrial engineering projects or programs.

Demonstrated design and/or implementation experience with integrated automation solutions, such as material handling systems, high-speed packaging lines, or manufacturing lines.
