We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Instrumentation & Control Systems (I&CS) Design Engineer.As part of our Northwest team in Corvallis, Portland, or Boise, you’ll have the chance to work on projects that bring innovative solutions to our municipal clients’ water challenges locally and worldwide. You’ll get to work with our world-class Instrumentation and Control Systems team dedicated to protecting the most valuable asset in the world, water. You’ll get to work on projects on every aspect from design through onsite startup work. You will enjoy having the deepest technical resources in the industry to support you, access to international work, and Design-Build projects. Using your experience, you'll lead the development of Process & Instrumentation Drawings (P&IDs), control narratives, specifications, network drawings, panel drawings, and instrument selection. You’ll coordinate with other engineering disciplines for a cohesive design. You’ll also contribute to the development and growth of people (e.g. mentoring junior engineers) both domestically and globally. You’ll be able to develop control system software in Programmable Logic Controllers and Human Machine Interfaces and perform facility startups and commissioning activities. As well, you will be able to review constructions submittals, conduct site evaluations, make recommendations for control system upgrades, and communicate with clients and management.'- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related discipline from an accredited university or college

Active Professional Engineer (P.E.)

Minimum of 10 years of experience:

I&C Systems Integration design experience Process & Instrumentation Diagram (P&ID) development I/O list development Instrumentation selection Control panel layout and wiring Detailed loop wiring diagrams PLC equipment list development Ability to mentor, train, and delegate work to others domestically and abroad Ability to work outside normal work hours at times to coordinate with global team members Proficiency with Microsoft Office SuiteIdeally, you’ll also have:

Water infrastructure Instrumentation & Controls Systems design experience

Experience with PLCs and HMI programming software

Experience with MCC and VFD control requirements
