Oh, and we will need great leaders too (this is where you come in … read on).What will you do?As a Principal PM, you will be responsible for defining and owning the strategic vision and roadmap for SaaS (Software-as-a-Service) products in the Amazon Shipping organization. This leader will work closely with business stakeholders to recommend and implement SaaS products to support the organization's strategic objectives around improving operational efficiency, customer experience, and cost optimization.The ideal candidate has a strong Marketing, Sales and Product Management background combined with a solid understanding of current technologies (e.g. APIs, mobile, GenAI). S/he can develop and drive high-level strategic initiatives but also roll up their sleeves, dig in and get the job done. Maturity, strong business judgment, ability to influence cross-functional and remote teams, a customer-centric and creative mindset and strong analytical skills are essential. This opportunity requires excellent product management, prioritization, and communication skills, as well as the ability to navigate ambiguity.Key job responsibilities

Define the strategic vision and own the long-term roadmap for SaaS products across the Shipping organization

Recommend new products and ideas to drive productivity and efficiency through SaaS product adoption and utilization

Work directly with engineering to build exceptional products by integrating SaaS products into the broader ecosystem

Define user stories and product requirements while contributing to the technical design of new product implementation and features

Engage with stakeholders to prioritize features and drive go-to-market strategies while making appropriate trade-offs to optimize time-to-market, and technical and business outcomes

Influence executive leadership and drive alignment across multiple teams on long-term priorities

Display self-starter mentality and the ability to dive below the surface to uncover the "so what" rather than just the symptoms

Up to 10% travel

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in computer science, related field, or equivalent work experience

15+ years of experience with 7+ years of product management experience implementing SaaS products at scale (Salesforce, Service Cloud, Marketo, Pendo, CPQ)

Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills with a proven ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences

Demonstrated experience translating customer needs and product opportunities into innovative and detailed product requirements for business applications with large and diverse customer bases and business use cases

Demonstrated experience with working in complex, ambiguous situations and influencing leadership on key decisions

Proven track record of delivering results in company-wide, cross-functional technical initiatives

Preferred Qualifications

MBA, and/or advanced degree in computer science or related field

One or more SaaS product certification

Experience in integrating SaaS products with 1P systems

The base pay for this position ranges from $145,700/year in our lowest geographic market up to $240,900/year in our highest geographic market.
