We are Banter, an all day food and bev establishment in the heart of Downtown Bellingham focused on Brunch and Specialty Coffee by day followed by Happy Hour and cocktails. We are looking for a couple of talented and committed employees to hop on the tools. The ideal candidate has a very good eye for detail, is self driven, willing to get their hands dirty, and has the technical skillset to put out a consistent and high quality product. We put a high priority on problem solving, efficiency, and culture within guest service and quality of output. This position is a combination of service and prep. There is certainly the opportunity for creativity, but first and foremost we ensure we are operating smoothly and our team and guests are taken care of.
Banter hires very intentionally, and all applicants go through a three-interview hiring phase one of which is a working interview. We ask that any employee hired into this position gives us a 1-year minimum commitment and has ambition to grow within the company. Compensation is to be determined based on the experience and ability of the applicant. All Banter employees are included in a profit share as well as management positions have bonus incentives.
We are a casual restaurant, but take our jobs professionally, and hold ourselves and our teammates to a high standard.
