The ideal candidates will be passionate about working with young children and the nutritional component of child development, as well as know their way around a kitchen. Washing dishes, prep work, delivering food, picking up bus tubs and cleaning/closing down the kitchen comprise the majority of the day. Supporting the teachers by stepping into the classroom to give short breaks is occasionally expected.
As a part of Blossom's mission in caring for our developing youth, we strive to provide well rounded and nutritious meals. In addition to experience in a kitchen and with young children, desirable qualities include: confidence and experience in food preparation, the ability to multi-task and strong attention to detail (a must to avoid allergic reactions).

Job Requirements:
We are looking for employees who will commit to a yearpreferably longer.
Food training in sanitation, food safety, nutrition, food preparation.
Food Handler's Permit as required by WA state.
Required to have or obtain DEL Portable Background Check (per WAC 170-06-0040).
Have or obtain HIV/Bloodborne Pathogens training certificate, Pediatric/Child CPR& First Aid.
Confirmation of Negative for TB (WA State Requirement).
Ability to communicate effectively with the children, public, supervisors and co-workers.
