Wright Brothers Farm is a family owned, organic vegetable farm focused on growing great tasting, nutritious, high quality fresh produce and herbs for families and chefs alike.
We have a part-time position as market assistant at the Queen Ann Farmers Market on Thursdays now through mid-October. You will assist loading the van at the farm in Ferndale, then drive to the Queen Ann Farmers Market in Seattle, WA. There, you will work with one of the farm owners to set up the market display, educate customers on farm produce and record sales on a Square reader, break down the display and return to the farm in Ferndale. A great opportunity to gain customer facing experience! This is a 12 hour shift.
On Tuesdays, you will deliver farm fresh produce to the homes of our CSA customers. CSA customers have subscribed to have a box of vegetables delivered weekly. The route starts at our farm in Ferndale and ends with deliveries in the Seattle area. The shift will last as long as it takes to make the deliveries for the orders we have. Initially, that will be 7-8 hours per day.
Prior delivery driving experience, demonstrated interest in organic farming principles and local agriculture preferred.
Pay range: $23-$25/hour, depending on experience
Additional benefits for all full-time positions:
– Paid sick/personal time, accrues 1 hour for every 40 hours worked
– Farm produce for personal use
