This position is responsible for the effective execution of all maintenance MROP stock and non-stock purchasing processes. This position will report to the Service Manager and work closely with the Production Manager, Field Boss, and other departments for parts and supplies required towards optimal non-stop operations. Purchasing Functions:
Establish and maintain appropriate levels of inventory, including using min/max levels
Develop inventory levels for plant and maintenance consumables
Leverage inventory control practices, enable the utilization of the daily reorder report – Kanban system would be key
Complete all purchasing through designated CMMS software system
Reconcile invoices against purchase orders and goods receipts
Communicate when materials arrived, be of service and collaborate with other departments
Purchase efficiently, organize, stock, maintain parts rooms, label parts and inventory them
Vett and obtain oral/written price quotes from MRO venders
Provide accurate accounting reports and work with CFO to justify spending algins with budget
Work with Stampli and approve invoices promptly, reconcile past due PO’s, reconcile purchasing card
Assists with other projects as needed
Essential Duites and Responsibilities:
Organize, update, retain MRO supplier and product information files and purchase order records, review quarterly
Review orders, accuracy, and compliance with existing procedures and assure all purchasing procedures and guidelines are followed
Obtain appropriate items in timely manner
Knowledge and understand the maintenance processes and proper use of work order system planning and scheduling and storeroom processes
Integrate vendor resources
Work closely with Service Manager to develop spare part list for existing and new equipment
Maintain appropriate levels of organ
Assists with other projects as needed
Skills and Abilities:
Ability to effectively manage competing priorities
Commitment to complete and detailed recordkeeping
Independent, confident and capable, you must get it done, want it to be done right and have the capacity to execute
General understanding of equipment, detailed understanding preferred
Demonstrate continual effort to improve operations, streamline, work processes and work, cooperative with other departments to provide quality seamless operation
Familiarity and proven track record with Kanban, continuous improvement, cost savings, cost avoidance and accuracy
Good written and verbal communication skills and demonstrated ability to be approachable and tactful
Demonstrated excellent organization and planning skills
Demonstrated computer proficiency CMMS Systems such as UpKeep, MPulse and MS office applications
Qualifications:
2 to 5 years of work in maintenance, purchasing, inventory or related experience.
Clean driving record
Work Environnent :
Works indoors and outdoors in a shop and an agriculture setting
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms.
The employee will communicate regularly by telephone, and in person, and must have the ability to maintain professionalism at all times. The employee must be able to operate a motor vehicle unassisted.
