Summary
This position is responsible for being a production floor liaison using quality control methods to ensure that production and processing meets standards set on work orders. This position is responsible for confirming all orders pass quality control standards and conforms to work order requirements. It also includes general labor support and parts prepping along with materials handling for sandblasting and powder coating orders per specification. Applicants must be reliable and self-motivated with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Essential Functions
1. Conduct quality inspections on all products at all stages of the coating process
2. Assess the coating's conformance to customer specifications and standards
3. Work with management to investigate and resolve customer issues and complaints relating to quality
4. Assist in implementing quality control training procedures
5. Troubleshoot rejected and/or non-conforming parts and make recommendations for rework
6. Accurately measure parts, record measurements, and submit measurements and order comments in computer system
7. Ability to pass a respirator fit test
8. Operate forklift to move equipment and parts throughout yard and shop
9. Maneuver, load, unload orders using a forklift, team lift, or individual lift
10. Turn on valves on equipment to operate equipment
11. Read and review work orders to ensure proper processing steps
12. Tracks and records work order information in computer
13. Prep products for powder coating (wash/pre-treat, masking, sand, hanging/racking, push loaded carts in and out of booths/ovens)
14. Handling and moving objects (using hands and arms in handling, positioning and moving materials and products)
15. Mask, with tape and other materials, on specified areas of objects/items
16. Inspect parts for damage, correct quantity, and object accuracy
17. Examine finished parts to ensure conformance to specifications and document work order appropriately
18. Un-rack/un-hang parts for packaging, package/wrap completed orders.
19. Maintain clean and organized workspace
20. Maintain and organize incoming work orders and completed work orders waiting for pick up
21. Unload and load customer work orders with a forklift, individual lift, and/or team lift

Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment
This job operates in a shop environment. This role routinely uses compressed air and washing/pre-treating equipment, powered hand tools, forklifts, respirators, required PPE. Exposure to the elements including varied temperatures and humidity.
Physical Demands
This is a physical role. This requires regularly lifting, bending, reaching, kneeling, and standing for long periods. Must be able to stand for 8-12 hours a day.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Thursday, 5:45 am – 4:15 pm. Over-time hours and some weekend days as necessary.

No travel is expected for this position.
Required Education and Experience
1. General education
2. 1 year quality control and laborer experience
3. 1 year forklift experience
Preferred Education and Experience
1. 2 years quality control and parts prepping and materials handling experience
2. General education
3. 2 years forklift experience
